United Dance Organisation
United Dance Organisation (UDO) is a street dance organisation. It has around 85,000 members across 30 countries including Australia, the UAE, Germany, Japan, USA, Thailand, New Zealand, Belgium, the Netherlands, and some in Africa. It was founded in 2002 by Simon Dibley (CEO). UDO hosts 22 regional events annually, as well as Six Nations, British Championships, European Championships and World Championships. They are based in Cardiff, Wales. UDO Academy UDO Academy forms part of the UDO Group, an educational and training platform for dancers wishing to gain accreditation in various street dance styles. In 2013, UDO Academy launched the UDO Street Dance Syllabus which is designed to enable dancers to gain accreditation from the Intro 1 and 2 grades through to a teacher level. Udo-jingū
is a Shinto shrine in Nichinan, Miyazaki prefecture, Japan, south of Aoshima. It is the mythical birthplace of Emperor Jimmu's father Ugayafukiaezu. According to shrine legends, it is the place where the sea goddess Toyotamahime, the mother of said Ugayafukiaezu, built a birth-hut from the feathers of a cormorant. Udo the Red Panda is the costumed mascot of the University of Mannheim's athletics teams. He represents an anthropomorphic version of a red panda (or red cat-bear). Ultra Density Optical (UDO) is an optical disc format designed for high-density storage of high-definition video and data. Overview An Ultra Density Optical disc, or UDO, is a 133.35 mm (5.25") ISO cartridge optical disc which can store up to 30 GB of data. The second generation UDO2 media format was introduced in April 2007 and has a capacity of up to 80 GB. Utilizing a design based on the Magneto-optical disc, but using Phase Change technology combined with a blue violet laser, a UDO/UDO2 disc can store substantially more data than a magneto-optical (MO) disc. This is due to the shorter wavelength (405 nm) of the blue-violet laser employed. MOs use a 650 nm-wavelength red laser. Because its beam width is shorter when burning to a disc than a red-laser for MO, a blue-violet laser allows more information to be stored digitally in the same amount of space. Siege Of Udo
The siege of Uto was a battle during the final years of the Azuchi–Momoyama period (17th century) of Japan. Katō Kiyomasa besieged Uto castle. Uto castle at the time had belonged to his old rival, Konishi Yukinaga who joined western forces under Mōri Terumoto's side. History During this part of the Sekigahara campaign, Katō Kiyomasa helped the cause of the Tokugawa under Tokugawa Ieyasu in Kyūshū. As Konishi Yukinaga was fighting with Ishida Mitsunari, he left Uto Castle to his brother, Konishi Yukikage (Hayato). Yukikage sent a messenger to ask for reinforcement from Konishi Yukishige and the Shimazu clan in Mugishima Castle. However, the messenger was captured by Kiyomasa and a fake messenger was sent.
