Ubong Friday (born 3 March 1998) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Nigerian Professional Football League club Akwa United and the Nigeria B. He primarily plays as a winger. Club career Macito Friday began his career with non-league club, Macito F.C., Uyo, during the 2011–12 football season. Akwa Starlets After a season with Macito F.C., Friday joined NNL club Akwa Starlets at the start of 2012–13 season. Ubong Friday was part of the Akwa Starlets team that grabbed the headlines in the 2013 Federation Cup, where they eliminated NPFL sides, Kwara United and Dolphins FC ( now Rivers United following a merger with Sharks FC). The Uyo club beat Kwara United 6–5 on penalties in the Round of 64 fixture at Oghara Township Stadium, after regular time ended a 2–2. Bonny Island
Bonny Island is situated at the southern edge of Rivers State in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. It is near Port Harcourt. Ferries are the main form of transport to and from the island. The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium (formerly Akwa Ibom International Stadium) is an all-seater national sports stadium located in Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom. Maurice Cooreman
Maurice Cooreman (1943 – 31 May 2022) was a Belgian football manager who coached primarily in Africa. Career Cooreman led Ocean Boys to the title in 2006, but was sacked in September 2006 and then rehired two weeks later. He managed Enyimba from October 2006 to November 2008, and received a five match ban in April 2008 after attacking a referee. He was appointed manager of Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko in November 2008, but was sacked in February 2009. Cooreman also managed NPA, Bendel Insurance, Lobi Stars and Gabros International. He was hired in August 2009 to coach Kaduna United FC.
