Union Sportive Medinat Bel Abbès ( ar, الإتحاد الرياضي لمدينة بلعباس), known as USM Bel Abbès or simply USMBA for short, is an Algerian football club located in Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria, that was founded in 1933 and its colors are green and red. Their home stadium, 24 February 1956 Stadium, has a capacity of 45,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Inter-Régions Division. History The team was founded on 7 February 1933 under the name of Union Sportive Musulmane de Bel Abbès. It was one of the great teams in the French colonial period. Between 1977 and 1987, the club was parrained by ENIE, an electronic national society and was named Electronique Sari Madinat Bel Abbès (ESMBA). The CAF Confederation Cup, known as the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup for sponsorship purposes, is an annual association football club competition established in 2004 from a merger of the CAF Cup and the African Cup Winners' Cup and organized by CAF. North African Cup
The North African Cup was a football competition involving the then French territories of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia from 1930 to 1956. The tournament was contested between the clubs of five leagues, with Morocco and Tunisia contributing one league each, and Algeria contributing leagues from the districts of Algiers, Constantine and Oran. The Algerian Super Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر الممتازة), is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The Algerian Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر) also known the Republic Cup ( ar, كأس الجمهورية), is a football competition in Algeria, pitting regional teams against each other. It was established in October 1962, three months after independence, and has been played yearly since then apart from 1990 and 1993. The most successful clubs in this competition are USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, ES Setif and MC Alger with eight trophies for each. The record for consecutive wins in the competition is only two, several teams have achieved such USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, MC Oran, JS Kabylie and MC Algiers.
