Cowboys & Indians Magazine
''Cowboys & Indians'' is an American magazine that focuses on Western and Native American lifestyles. It was founded by former high-tech and defense manufacturing entrepreneur Robert Hartman. Hartman's family were originally ranchers from Cody, Wyoming, and his grandmother was close friends with Wyatt Earp and Wyatt's wife Josephine. When Hartman's family moved to Los Angeles in the early 1920s, Josephine and Wyatt soon followed. Hartman's parents purchased a ranch in the San Fernando Valley where he was raised. With a family history steeped in Western ranching, Hartman recognized that the modern Western lifestyle did not bridge the past to the present. This inspired the idea of creating a glossy storytelling magazine, and Hartman began formulating the substance of the publication in 1991, in an effort to combine the history and stories of the American West with art, Western antiques, ranching, real estate, fashion, and travel. In 1992, the first issue was published with 12,00 ...

Mass Media Companies Established In 2000
Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics. It was found that different atoms and different elementary particles, theoretically with the same amount of matter, have nonetheless different masses. Mass in modern physics has multiple definitions which are conceptually distinct, but physically equivalent. Mass can be experimentally defined as a measure of the body's inertia, meaning the resistance to acceleration (change of velocity) when a net force is applied. The object's mass also determines the strength of its gravitational attraction to other bodies. The SI base unit of mass is the kilogram (kg). In physics, mass is not the same as weight, even though mass is often determined by measuring the object's weight using a spring scale, rather than balance scale comparing it directly with known masses. An object on the Moon would weigh le ...
