USCGC ''Cobb'' (WPG-181) was a United States Coast Guard cutter commissioned during World War II. A conversion of the 1906 coastal steamboat , USCGC ''Cobb'' in the hands of the Coast Guard became the first US helicopter carrier. An oil spill is the release of a liquid petroleum hydrocarbon into the environment, especially the marine ecosystem, due to human activity, and is a form of pollution.
