UNIAPAC
The International Christian Union of Business Executives or UNIAPAC is an ecumenical organization for Christian businesspeople. History The predecessors of the organization were national federations of Catholic employers in The Netherlands in 1915, Belgium in 1921 and France in 1926. In 1931, a group of Catholic employers created an ''International Comité d'Initiative'' at the 40th anniversary of the encyclical ''Rerum novarum'' in Rome. In addition they took the initiative to organize regularly ''Internationales des Associations Patronales Catholiques''. UNIAPAC was founded in Rome in 1931 as the International Conferences of Catholic Employers by the organizations of Catholic entrepreneurs from France, Belgium and The Netherlands and also people from Italy, Germany and Czechoslovakia. Léon Bekaert
Léon Antoine Bekaert (Zwevegem, 9 December 1891 - Zwevegem, 19 December 1961) was a Belgian industrialist and politician. He was the son of Leo Leander Bekaert, who founded the family business in 1880. He expanded the family venture ''Tréfileries Léon Bekaert'' (1935), at Zwevegem (production of steel wire) into Bekaert, a global company. He was President of the League of Christian Employers (1934–1961) and President of the Belgian league of the metallurgical industry ( Fabrimetal) from 1946 up to 1952, after which he accepted the chairmanship of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises. From 1926 until his death, he was burgomaster of Zwevegem and of 1938 up to beginning 1961 he was regent of the National Bank of Belgium. Michel Albert
Michel Albert (; 25 February 1930 – 19 March 2015) was a French economist. He was born in Fontenay-le-Comte, Vendée and was the Permanent Secretary of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques since 1 January 2005. Biography Michel Albert graduated from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris and is an alumnus of the École Nationale d'Administration. He became an inspector of finance in 1956. He was Chairman of the Board and CEO of Assurances Générales de France (AGF) between 1982 and 1994. From 1990 to 1993 he was president of the International Christian Union of Business Executives or UNIAPAC On March 28, 1994, he was elected to the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques to the chair left vacant by the death of Henri Guitton. Ecumenism (), also spelled oecumenism, is the concept and principle that Christians who belong to different Christian denominations should work together to develop closer relationships among their churches and promote Christian unity. The adjective ''ecumenical'' is thus applied to any initiative that encourages greater cooperation and union among Christian denominations and churches. The fact that all Christians belonging to mainstream Christian denominations profess faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour over a believer's life, believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant and inspired word of God (John 1:1), and receive baptism according to the Trinitarian formula is seen as being a basis for ecumenism and its goal of Christian unity.
