UNFD (pronounced as an initialism ˈjuːˈenˈefˈdiː/ is an independent record label based in Melbourne, Australia. The label is home to a number of Australian artists including Thornhill, Ocean Grove, Hellions and In Hearts Wake, and international artists Frank Iero, ERRA, Stray From the Path, Silverstein, and more. The label has offices in London and Los Angeles. UNFD is part of the UNIFIED Music Group, owned by Jaddan Comerford. Genres that the label lean towards include, but are not limited to; metalcore, electronicore, progressive metal and djent. Overview UNFD's first release was Dream On, Dreamer's '' Heartbound'' on 5 August 2011. The album debuted at No. 38 on the ARIA Charts and was nominated for Best Heavy Rock Album of the Year at the ARIA Music Awards. In Hearts Wake
In Hearts Wake are an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, formed in 2006. The band comprises vocalist Jake Taylor, guitarists Eaven Dall and Ben Nairne, bassist Kyle Erich, and drummer Conor Ward. They have released five studio albums: ''Divination'', '' Earthwalker'', '' Skydancer'', ''Ark'' and ''Kaliyuga'', which was released on 7 August 2020. The band's lyrical themes include environmentalism, environmental justice, global warming, conservation, and other social issues. Thornhill (band)
Thornhill are an Australian metal band from Melbourne, formed in 2015. The band currently consists of vocalist Jacob Charlton, guitarist Ethan McCann, drummer Ben Maida, and bass guitarist Nick Sjogren. Thornhill have released two studio albums: ''The Dark Pool'' (2019) and ''Heroine'' (2022), and two EPs: ''13'' (2016) and ''Butterfly'' (2018). History Foundation and early years (2015–2017) The band had its initial beginnings in 2015 when Jacob Charlton, Ben Maida, Sam Anderson and Ethan McCann began performing in Battle of the Bands competitions whilst at high-school at Vermont Secondary College in outer suburban Melbourne. Ocean Grove are an Australian nu metal band formed in 2010. The band consists of vocalist Dale Tanner, drummer/producer Sam Bassal and bassist/vocalist Twiggy Hunter. ''Singularity'' is the second studio album by Australian Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 22 March 2013 through UNFD and Distort Entertainment, Distort. This is the last album to feature vocalist Adrian Fitipaldes before his departure in September 2014. It was produced by Will Putney and recorded at The Machine Shop in Belleville. In 2014, a deluxe edition of ''Singularity'' was released, which contains instrumental versions of all songs. At the J Awards of 2013, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. Dream On, Dreamer
Dream On, Dreamer was an Australian four piece alternative metalcore band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, formed in 2009. The band released two EPs and three albums. The first EP ''Set Sail, Armada'' was released on 3 July 2009. Almost a year later, Dream On, Dreamer published the second EP called ''Hope'' on Boomtown Records and Triple Vision Records. After signing contracts with Rise Records and UNFD the band released the debut album '' Heartbound'' in August 2011. Bodyjar
Bodyjar are an Australian pop punk band which formed in 1990. They began performing under the name Bodyjar in 1994; their previous names included Damnation (1990–91) and Helium (1992–93). The latter group released an album, ''You Can't Hold Me Down'', in October 1992. As Bodyjar their original line-up were Cameron Baines on vocals and guitar; Ben Petterson on vocals and guitar; Grant Relf on vocals and bass guitar; and Charles Zerafa on drums. It featured new band members Tom Skerlj and Clint Vincent after founding member and guitarist Rob Maric left the band at the end of 2012.
