UJA-Federation of New York (United Jewish Appeal – Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, Inc.) is the largest local philanthropy in the world. Menachem Creditor
Menachem Creditor is an American rabbi, author, and musician. He is the Pearl and Ira Meyer Scholar-in-Residence at UJA-Federation New York and founder of Rabbis Against Gun Violence. His work has appeared in the Times of Israel, the Huffington Post, the Jewish Week, the Jewish Daily Forward, and the Wall Street Journal. Career A frequent speaker at synagogues, college campuses, and communities on questions of Identity, Leadership, Activism and Spirituality, Rabbi Creditor was named by Newsweek as one of the 50 Most Influential Rabbis in America. Gus Levy
Gustave "Gus" Levy (May 23, 1910– November 3, 1976) was Senior Partner at Goldman Sachs from 1969 until his death in 1976. He succeeded Sidney Weinberg as chief executive officer. Early life Levy was born on May 23, 1910 to a Jewish family in New Orleans. He was one of three children of Sigmund and Bella Levy. Levy briefly attended Tulane University before dropping out. He moved to New York City, working various jobs in the financial sector, then joined Goldman Sachs in 1933 to head the one-man trading department for a salary of $27.50 a week. Benjamin Joseph Buttenwieser (October 22, 1900 – December 31, 1991) was an American banker, philanthropist and civic leader in New York.
