UHF (Canadian Band)
UHF is a Canadian folk music Supergroup (music), supergroup, consisting of singer-songwriters Bill Henderson (Canadian singer), Bill Henderson of Chilliwack (band), Chilliwack fame, Shari Ulrich and Roy Forbes. The band's name comes from the initials of the members' surnames. The group was first formed in 1989 when Forbes and Ulrich were asked to perform with Henderson at the Vancouver Winter Roots Music festival, Festival. The combination worked well, so that the three artists teamed up as UHF and produced an independent self-titled album. The trio reunited to release a second album in 1995. Though the individual members are mostly occupied with solo careers and other projects, for many years they performed several concerts a year, including the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 1998. Folk Music

Supergroup (music)
A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Charity supergroups, in which prominent musicians perform or record together in support of a particular cause, have been common since the 1980s. The term is most common context of rock and pop music, but it has occasionally been applied to other musical genres. Bill Henderson (Canadian Singer)
William Allen Henderson (born November 6, 1944) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and music producer. Henderson is best known for his work as lead singer and guitarist with the group Chilliwack in the 1970s and 1980s, Career As a young man, Henderson performed as a guitarist in the Panorama Trio at the Vancouver Hilton Hotel's Panorama Roof restaurant. He then helped form the psychedelic rock group The Collectors. After The Collectors disbanded, Henderson and other former Collectors formed the band Chilliwack. The group played together for more than 30 years, and produced the hits "Lonesome Mary", "California Girl", and "My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)". He is also part of the folk music supergroup UHF. Chilliwack (band)
Chilliwack is a Canadian rock band centred on the singer and guitarist Bill Henderson. They were active from 1970 to 1988; Henderson re-formed the band in 1997. The band started off with a progressive rock sound that incorporated elements of folk, indigenous, jazz and blues, before moving towards a more straight-ahead hard rock/pop rock sound by the mid-70s. Their six best-selling songs were "My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)", " I Believe", "Whatcha Gonna Do", "Fly at Night", "Crazy Talk", and "Lonesome Mary". The band's line-up has changed many times. Shari Ulrich
Sharon "Shari" Ulrich (born 17 October 1951) is a Canadian/American musician and songwriter. She has also worked as a television host, actress, film composer, and educator. A multi-instrumentalist, she plays Violin, Mandolin, guitar, piano, and Dulcimer. She has been nominated for a Juno Award four times, winning " Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year" in 1982. Roy Charles Forbes (born February 13, 1953) is a Canadian folk music singer-songwriter, whose music bears heavy influences from classic American genres of acoustic blues and traditional country.
