UEFA Women's Euro 2017 Qualifying Group 8
Group 8 of the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying competition consisted of five teams: Norway, Austria, Wales, Israel, and Kazakhstan. The composition of the eight groups in the qualifying group stage was decided by the draw held on 20 April 2015. The group was played in home-and-away round-robin format. The group winners qualified directly for the final tournament, while the runners-up also qualified directly if they were one of the six best runners-up among all eight groups (not counting results against the fifth-placed team); otherwise, the runners-up advance to the play-offs. The UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying competition was a women's football competition that determined the 15 teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Netherlands in the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 final tournament. A total of 46 UEFA member national teams, with Andorra entering for the first time at senior women's level, entered the qualifying competition. Format The qualifying competition consisted of three rounds: *Preliminary round: The eight lowest-ranked teams were drawn into two groups of four teams. Each group was played in single round-robin format at one of the teams which were pre-selected as hosts. Color Line Stadion
Color Line Stadion is an association football stadium in Ă lesund, Norway, and the home of 1. divisjon side Aalesunds FK. It was inaugurated in April 2005 and cost NOK 160 million to build. It is referred to as Aalesund Stadion by UEFA, as naming rights arrangements (in this case, with ferry operator Color Line) is not included during UEFA competitions. It was the first top-level stadium in Norway to feature artificial turf, which was at the time a highly debated issue. When Aalesund opened the stadium, businessman Olav Nils Sunde donated a statue to the club, which was erected in front of the stadium. Whilst Sunde denied it, the statue bore a very strong resemblance to former Aalesund player John Arne Riise. Maren NÊvdal Mjelde (born 6 November 1989) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for Chelsea and captains the Norway national team. Isabell Lehn Herlovsen (born 23 June 1988) is a Norwegian former football player. She last played for VĂ„leranga and Kolbotn after moving home from China and the club Jiangsu Suning.
