Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. Debbie Bampton
Deborah Bampton, Order of the British Empire, MBE, (born 7 October 1961) is an English former international association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. During her career Bampton won a treble at Arsenal W.F.C., Arsenal and two doubles with Charlton Athletic L.F.C., Croydon. She also was capped a sum of 95 times for England, scoring seven goals all in all. Bampton was appointed an MBE in 1998 Birthday Honours, 1998 as a recognition of her services to women's football. She also went on to be inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2005. Club career Bampton began her career at the age of 14. She played for Lowestoft Ladies F.C., the team winning the Women's FA Cup in 1928, although Bampton missed the final due to injury. Grün-Weiß Brauweiler
FFC Brauweiler Pulheim 2000 was a German women's football club based in Pulheim, North Rhine-Westphalia. It was founded when the women's section of Grün-Weiß Brauweiler in 2000 established its own club. The team played its last season in the Regionalliga, the German third division. Afterwards the clubs disbanded to join 1. FC Köln. History In 1974 Thomas Meyer established a training group which became the women's section of Grün-Weiß Brauweiler. The team played in the top division from the beginning on and relegations in 1980 and 1986 were followed by direct re-promotions. Despite three consecutive wins of the regional ''Mittelrheinpokal'' in 1989-91 Brauweiler did not qualify for the Bundesliga at its inception in 1990. Manuela Goller (born 5 January 1971 in Wipperfürth, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German former footballer. Early life Manuela Goller was born in Wipperfürth to Franz-Josef Goller, a dairy farmer, and joined the local sports club, TuS Egen, which he runs. Career Manuela Goller played as a goalkeeper for SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach and Grün-Weiß Brauweiler. Gero Bisanz
Gero Bisanz (3 November 1935 – 17 October 2014) was a German football player and coach. Career Bisanz played for 1. FC Köln and Viktoria Köln. From 1982 to 1996, he was the coach of the Germany women's national team, in that time winning the UEFA Women's Championship three times, in 1989, 1991 and 1995. Karen Walker (footballer)
Karen Walker (born 29 July 1969) is an English former international football centre-forward. She played for Doncaster Belles for 20 years, starting at the age of 15, and began playing for England as a teenager, making 83 appearances and scoring a record 40 goals until she retired from international football in 2003. Walker's uncompromising style of play earned her the sobriquet "Wacker". Walker is particularly remembered for her performances in the 1995 World Cup in Sweden. She finished her career with two seasons at Leeds United, and in her last game, against Arsenal in the 2006 FA Cup Final, she left the pitch to a standing ovation. Sian Williams (born 2 February 1968) is an English former footballer and ex–manager of Watford Ladies. As a player she represented both England and Wales, and later managed Wales. Club career Williams played at club level for Millwall Lionesses and spent two years in Italy with Juve Siderno. Marieanne Spacey-Cale (née Spacey), (born 13 February 1966) is an English former international women's footballer. Having played 91 times for England, Spacey is considered one of the greatest English footballers of all time. She is currently Head of Girls and Women's football at Southampton F.C. and head coach of Southampton FC Women. Club career Spacey was prevented from participating in boys' football at school but joined British Oxygen's women's team at the age of 13 in 1979. Janice Murray (born 26 October 1966) is an English former international footballer. She played as a left winger for clubs including Leasowe Pacific, Doncaster Belles and Liverpool Ladies. Murray won around thirty caps for the senior England women's national football team. Club career Murray acquired the nickname Psycho. During a match on her native Merseyside, she scored a free kick in a manner which a spectator likened to Zico. The comment, made in scouse, was misheard as Psycho and the name remained with Murray throughout her career. Kerry Davis
Kerry Davis (born 2 August 1962) is an English former international women's footballer. During her 16-year international career, Davis represented the England women's national football team in the inaugural 1984 UEFA Championships final and at England's first FIFA Women's World Cup appearance in 1995. She also helped England win the Mundialito tournament in Italy and scored for her country at Wembley Stadium.
