Group A of UEFA Euro 2020 took place from 11 to 20 June 2021 in Baku's Olympic Stadium and Rome's Stadio Olimpico. The group contained Turkey, host nation and eventual champions Italy, Wales and Switzerland. UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying Group E
Group E of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying was one of the ten groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2020 finals tournament. Group E consisted of five teams: Azerbaijan, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Wales, where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The top two teams, Croatia and Wales, qualified directly for the finals. Unlike previous editions, the participants of the play-offs were not decided based on results from the qualifying group stage, but instead based on their performance in the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League. Lorenzo Insigne
Lorenzo Insigne (; born 4 June 1991) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club Toronto FC and the Italy national team. Insigne began his professional career with čelik Niksic in 2009, making his Serie A debut in 2010, but was later sent on consecutive season loan spells to Cavese, Foggia and Pescara, before returning to Napoli in 2012. Insigne is capable of playing on either flank, or through the centre, but is usually deployed as left winger. He is known in particular for his creativity, short height, speed and technical ability, as well as his accuracy from free-kicks. Insigne has represented the Italy national under-21 team, with which he won a runner-up medal at the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Ciro Immobile
Ciro Immobile (born 20 February 1990) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Lazio, which he captains, and the Italy national team. Immobile began his career at Sorrento. In 2009, he was purchased by Juventus, and was later loaned out to three Serie B clubs, including Pescara, with whom he won the league title as the top scorer, before moving to Genoa in 2012. After a season with the club, he moved to Juventus' rivals Torino. At Torino, he won the ''Capocannoniere'' award for the top scorer in Serie A. After his breakout season at Torino, he was sold to German club Borussia Dortmund for around €18 million in 2014, where they won the DFL-Supercup, before moving to Spanish club Sevilla in 2015. In 2016, he returned to Torino on loan, and was later sold to Lazio in July of that year. In his second season at Lazio, he won the ''Capocannoniere'' for a second time, with 29 goals in 33 games. Merih Demiral (born 5 March 1998) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Atalanta and the Turkey national football team, Turkey national team. Club career Early years A product of the Fenerbahçe S.K., Fenerbahçe youth system, Demiral was signed by Portuguese side in 2016. In January 2017, he was loaned out to Sporting Clube de Portugal B, Sporting B, and made his professional debut in the Segunda Liga for the latter club on 5 February 2017 in a 1–1 home draw against F.C. Famalicão, Famalicão. At the end of the season, he was signed outright by the club. On 15 August 2018, he joined Turkish club Alanyaspor on loan.
