UEC European Track Championships – Men's Team Sprint
The Men's team sprint at the European Track Championships was first competed in 2010 in Poland. The Team sprint consists of a qualifying, followed by a final and the race for the bronze medal. Germany have been the most successful nation in the event at this level, winning the first five events, before their run was ended by Netherlands in 2015. Robert Förstemann is the most successful individual medalist in the discipline, with four golds and two bronze medals in seven years; his single absence when he did not feature in the winning German team of the post-Olympic 2012 event. Denis Dmitriev
Denis Sergeyevich Dmitriev (russian: Денис Сергеевич Дмитриев; born 23 March 1986) is a Russian track cyclist. Specialising in the sprint events, Dmitriev's best result in international sports was winning a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Hong Kong. At the 2016 Summer Olympics he succeeded to the bronze medal race in sprint, winning the medal. Grégory Baugé (born 31 January 1985) is a French professional racing cyclist. Early life Bauge first took up sport at the age of eight, playing football. His father enrolled him in the Aubergenville cycling school. At that time he took part in road races, mountain biking and trial cycling. In 2000 he joined a cycling club in Yvelines. Aware of his qualities and encouraged by his father, he gradually left road cycling to concentrate on track cycling. in July 2001, he participated in the French National cadet (15–16 years) sprint championships where he was beaten in the final by Guillaume Blot. 2013 UEC European Track Championships
The 2013 UEC European Track Championships was the fourth edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Omnisport Arena in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, between 18 and 20 October. The Event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All ten Olympic events, ( sprint, team sprint, keirin, team pursuit and omnium, for both men and women) and the non-Olympic men's madison championship and points races for both genders were held as part of the championships. A highly competitive championships, gold medals were share among five teams, and medals among ten teams, with Germany leading the medal table with three gold and three silver medals. Lewis Oliva
Lewis Oliva (born 23 August 1992) is a Welsh racing cyclist from Monmouthshire, Wales, who has ridden on the track for the Welsh Cycling backed professional track team since September 2016. Prior to this he was part of the Great Britain cycling team for eight years as a sprint athlete. In addition to his five British titles, Lewis is the current British keirin champion after successfully defending his title on 26/01/2018. Callum Skinner
Callum Skinner (born 20 August 1992) is a British former track cyclist. He won the silver medal in the individual sprint at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and was a member of the British team that won gold in the team sprint. Early life Skinner was born to mother Judith and father Scott, the elder of two boys with a younger brother, Roy in Glasgow, Scotland. He moved to Bruntsfield, Edinburgh at the age of 12 and attended James Gillespie's High School. His academic career was hampered by dyslexia. He took up cycling in 2004, inspired by Chris Hoy's success in the sport at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. In 2008 he was national youth champion and broke Hoy's British 200m record for his age group.
