UCLA Bruins Gymnastics Team
The UCLA Bruins women's gymnastics team represents the University of California, Los Angeles and competes in the Pac-12 Conference. They currently compete in Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, CA. The team, coached by Janelle McDonald, has won 21 Regional titles and 7 NCAA National Championships, most recently in 2018. The Bruins are known for recruiting top elite gymnasts from North America and beyond, including Austria, Germany, Guatemala, and Ireland. Luisa Portocarrero
Luisa Fernanda Portocarrero Diaz (born May 05, 1977) is a Guatemalan artistic gymnast. As an elite level gymnast, she represented Guatemala at the 1992 Summer Olympics, in Barcelona, Spain. In addition to the Olympics, she participated in the 1991 Pan American Games; winning a bronze in the balance beam. She placed as high as twelfth in the world at the 1993 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships also. Throughout her elite career, she trained at Sport Seneca, in Canada. Anna Li
Anna Li (born September 4, 1988) is an American retired artistic gymnast. She was an 8-time All-American gymnast while competing in the NCAA and a member of the UCLA Bruins women's gymnastics team that won the 2010 NCAA National Championship title. She was on the US National Team in 2011 - 2012. Her parents, Li Yuejiu and Wu Jiani were Olympic gymnasts who competed for China at the 1984 Summer Olympics and are also her coaches. She has a younger sister, Andrea Li, who is also a gymnast. While training as a Level 10 and Elite gymnast she attended and graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Li started competing in gymnastics when she was six years old at Las Vegas Flyers. She trained in Nevada until her family moved to Illinois in 2002. Utah Red Rocks
The Utah Utes women's gymnastics team, also known as the Red Rocks, represents the University of Utah and competes at the NCAA Division I, Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Home meets are held in the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. As of the end of the 2021 season, the Red Rocks have won 10 national championships, including nine NCAA Women's Gymnastics championship, NCAA Gymnastics championships, and been runner-up nine times. The Red Rocks are the only team to have qualified for every NCAA Championships and have never finished lower than 10th. 2009 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship
The 2009 NCAA Women's Gymnastics championship involved 12 schools competing for the national championship of women's NCAA Division I gymnastics. It was the twenty eighth NCAA gymnastics national championship and the defending NCAA Team Champion for 2008 was Georgia. Jordan Chiles
Jordan Lucella Elizabeth Chiles (born April 15, 2001) is an American artistic gymnast. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal in the team event. She was a member of the team that won gold at the 2022 World Championships. Individually, she is the 2022 World vault silver medalist and floor silver medalist. She has been a member of the United States women's national gymnastics team since 2013. Early and personal life Chiles was born in Tualatin, Oregon, on April 15, 2001, to Timothy and Gina Chiles. She was named after American basketball player Michael Jordan. She is one of five children, her siblings being Jazmin, Jade, Tajmen, and Tyrus. Brooklyn Moors
Brooklyn Chloe Moors (born February 23, 2001) is a Canadian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2020 Olympic Games. She has also represented Canada at the 2017, 2018, and 2019 World Championships. At the 2017 World Championships she became the first Canadian to win the Longines Prize for Elegance. She is the 2019 Pan American Games champion on the floor exercise and the silver medalist with the team. She is also the 2017 Pan American champion on the floor exercise.
