Club Bà squet Femenà Universitari de Barcelona–FC Barcelona was a Spanish Catalonia, Catalan women's basketball team. Initially named CBF Universitari de Barcelona, belonging just to the University of Barcelona, Universitat de Barcelona, it later became part of the FC Barcelona family. They used to have four base teams: junior, cadet, infantil and infantil'91. UB-Barça was one of the most successful teams in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, Spanish League in the first half of the 2000s, winning the championship in 2003 and 2005. However, in 2007 FC Barcelona retired its sponsorship, and the club, not being able to face its expenses, was relegated and disbanded. The Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, also known as Liga Femenina Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of sports league, league competition for women's basketball in Spain. It is the women's equivalent of the men's Liga ACB and is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation. The league was founded in 1964 and is played under FIBA rules. Marta Fernández Farrés (born 21 December 1981 in Barcelona) is a retired Spanish women's basketball player. A 1.80 m (5'11") guard, she won three bronze medals with the Spain women's national basketball team. The Copa de la Reina de Baloncesto (English: Queen's Cup of Basketball) is an annual cup competition for Spanish women's basketball teams. The first edition of the competition, originally named Women's Senior Basketball Championship, took place in 1943, which makes it the oldest Spanish women's basketball competition, but it was only since 1978, when it took its current name, that it has been carried every year. Razija Mujanović
Razija Mujanović (born 15 April 1967) is a Bosnian former women's basketball player. She was voted the best female European basketball player three times (1991, 1994 and 1995) by the Italian sports magazine La Gazzetta dello Sport. She was elected to the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2017.
