UAM Xochimilco is one of the five academic units of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City. XHUAM-FM, known as UAM Radio, is the radio station of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, established in 2011. History Single-frequency network UAM Radio originally broadcast on 94.1 FM from five 20-watt transmitters at various UAM facilities, each of which is located at a different UAM facility in Mexico City: *XHUAMR-FM at the General Rectory, which houses the studio facilities *XHUAMA-FM at the Unidad Azcapotzalco *XHUAMC-FM at the Unidad Cuajimalpa *XHUAMI-FM at the Unidad Iztapalapa *XHUAMX-FM at the Unidad Xochimilco It is estimated that the transmitter network covered 70% of Mexico City. Tessy María López Goerne (born October 22, 1961) is a Mexican solid-state chemist, professor, researcher, academic, and popular science communicator. She has specialized in the fields of nanotechnology and nanomedicine, as well as being a pioneer in catalytic nanomedicine. She directs the Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratories at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Xochimilco (UAM-X) plant and the . Asa Cristina Laurell is a Mexican sociologist who has had a long career in both research and government positions. She grew up in Sweden, but her education eventually brought her to Mexico.
