U2.Communication
''U2.COMmunication'' is a live album recorded by U2 and released exclusively to members of its official website in 2005. The album features performances from two different concerts from the Vertigo Tour—a concert in Chicago, filmed for the '' Vertigo 2005: Live from Chicago'' video, and a concert in Milan filmed for the '' Vertigo 05: Live from Milan'' video which was released with deluxe copies of the compilation album, '' U218 Singles''. The album's title is a play on U2.com, the band's website. One of the highlights is an emotional performance of " Miss Sarajevo," dedicated to the victims of the July 2005 London bombings. Bono sings Luciano Pavarotti's aria in this performance. The album also came with a bonus CD-ROM featuring wallpapers, screensavers, and a video performance of " Vertigo" from Milan. Miss Sarajevo
"Miss Sarajevo" is a song by U2 and Brian Eno, credited to the pseudonym "Passengers". It was released on 20 November 1995 as the only single from their album ''Original Soundtracks 1''. Luciano Pavarotti makes a vocal appearance, singing the opera solo. It also appears on U2's compilation ''The Best of 1990–2000'', and was covered by George Michael on his album ''Songs from the Last Century''. While the song did not reach the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, it reached number six on the UK Singles Chart and was a top-ten hit in many other European countries. Bono, the lead vocalist of U2, cites "Miss Sarajevo" as his favourite U2 song. History American journalist Bill Carter suggested to Bono an idea to film a documentary based on Sarajevo's underground resistance movement. Screensaver
A screensaver (or screen saver) is a computer program that blanks the display screen or fills it with moving images or patterns when the computer has been idle for a designated time. The original purpose of screensavers was to prevent phosphor burn-in on CRT or plasma computer monitors (hence the name). Though most modern monitors are not susceptible to this issue (with the notable exception of OLED technology, which has individual pixels vulnerable to burnout), screensaver programs are still used for other purposes. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Miracle Drug
"Miracle Drug" is a song by Irish rock band U2, and is the second track on their 2004 album ''How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb''. The song's lyrics were written by lead vocalist Bono about a former schoolmate Christopher Nolan, who was paralysed from birth but through a medical breakthrough learned to communicate via a pointer attached to his forehead and eventually wrote several books.
