Uttam Kumar (artist)
Uttam Kumar (born 1979) is an Indian artist. A birth condition rendered Kumar unable to use his arms, and so the artist paints using his feet. Early life and career Kumar was born in Jammu, India. Since birth, Kumar has been unable to use either of his arms or his right leg. As such, Kumar produces digital art and canvas painting using his feet. He was invited to speak at the recently held TEDx TughlaqRd event at the India Islamic Center. While working in the India, he was inspired by an artwork of Sobha Singh (painter) and claims to follow Sobha's style of creative painting. Kumar is the chairman of JD FOOT AND MOUTH ARTS(STEPS TO LIFE). This is foundation of 143 disabled children. The vision of these is to help an disable child into an abled man in his or her life. Udhampur
Udhampur (ˌʊd̪ʱəmpur) is a city and a municipal council in Udhampur district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the headquarters of Udhampur District. Named after Raja Udham Singh, it serves as the district capital and the Northern Command headquarters of the Indian Army. A Forward Base Support Unit (FBSU) of the Indian Air Force is also stationed here. Udhampur is used by the Armed Forces as a transit point between Jammu and Srinagar when travelling by road on National Highway 1A, which has since then been renamed as National Highway 44. Foot Painting
Mouth and foot painting is a technique to create drawings, paintings and other works of art by maneuvering brushes and other tools with the mouth or foot. The technique is mostly used by artists who through illness, accident or congenital disability have no use of their hands. The Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (AMFPA) is a worldwide organization representing these artists. The brushes and tools that are used are ordinary artist's implements, but they may be modified in length or width. Mouth painters hold the brush in their mouth or between their teeth and maneuver it with their tongue and cheek muscles. The paper or canvas is usually mounted vertically on an easel. Mouth painting is strenuous for neck and jaw muscles since the head has to perform the same back and forth movement as a hand does when painting. Jammu
Jammu is the winter capital of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir.
