Uttam is a solid-state gallium arsenide (GaAs) based active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar under development by the Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), a laboratory of the Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is a low probability of intercept radar intended to be installed on the HAL Tejas Mark 1A, HAL Tejas Mark 2 and HAL TEDBF aircraft with plans to implement a larger and more powerful variant on-board India's 5th Generation fighter aircraft, the HAL AMCA. Description It is a liquid cooled AESA radar featuring quad band modules that can be stacked to form a larger unit. This allows the manufacturer to scale the radar to be used in larger aircraft. There are plan to create a larger scalable design to be used in India's fifth-generation HAL AMCA jet fighter. ''Bharat Forge Co Ltd v Uttam Manohar Nakate'' 005INSC 45is an Indian labour law case concerning the dismissal of a worker who was found to be asleep in 1983. After 22 years, the Supreme Court of India upheld his dismissal. Facts Uttam was a helper in Bharat Forge. He was found lying fast asleep on an iron plate in the corner of the department at 11:40 a.m. on 26 August 1983. This was the fourth time this had happened, After five-month-long disciplinary hearings, the company fired him in January 1984. Uttam went to court, which found the company guilty of "unfair labour practice" and forced the factory to take Uttam back and pay him 50 percent of his lost wages. The case was appealed to the Bombay High Court and eventually to the national Supreme Court of India, reported as AIR 2005 SC 947. Uttambhai Nathalal Mehta (1924 - 1998) was an Indian businessman and the founder and chairman of Torrent Group. Early and personal life Mehta was born in Mehmadpur, a small village in Palanpur district, India. Uttama was a Chola Emperor who ruled from 973 CE to 985 CE in present-day Tamil Nadu, India. According to Tiruvalangadu plates of Rajendra Chola, Madurantaka Uttama Chola's reign is placed after Aditya II. The latter may have been a co-regent of Parantaka II and seems to have died before he could formally ascend the throne. Uttam Kumar Sarkar (born 1986) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays for Dhaka Division in Bangladeshi domestic cricket. During the 2005–06 season, he also played for Security Express in the Corporate League and Kalabagan in the Premier League for clubs.
