Utah State Route 89 is the legislative overlay designation for U.S. Route 189 (US-189) within Utah, United States. By Utah State law, US-189 within the state (except concurrencies) has been defined as "State Route 189" since 1977). Utah State Route 89 may also refer to: * Utah State Route 89 (1975-1977), a former state route in the Ogden Valley in eastern Weber County, Utah, United States, that connected Utah State Route 162 (now Utah State Route 158) at a junction in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest (north of the Pineview Reservoir) with Utah State Route 166 (now Utah State Route 162) in Eden. U.S. Route 89 (US 89) in the U.S. state of Utah is a north-south United States Highway spanning more than through the central part of the state, making it the longest road in Utah. Between Provo, Utah, Provo and Brigham City, Utah, Brigham City, US-89 serves as a local road, paralleling (and occasionally concurring with) Interstate 15 in Utah, Interstate 15, but the portions from Arizona north to Provo and Brigham City northeast to Wyoming serve separate corridors. The former provides access to several National park (US), national parks and Arizona, and the latter connects I-15 with Logan, Utah, Logan, the state's only Metropolitan Statistical Area not on the Interstate.
