Christoffer Urne
Christoffer Knudsson Urne til Årsmarke (27 October 1593 – 27 September 1663) was a Danish civil servant. He served as Governor-general of Norway from 1629 to 1642. Biography He was born at Halsted Priory on the island of Lolland, Denmark. He was the son of Knud Axelsen Urne til Årsmarke (1564–1622) and Margrethe Eilersdatter Grubbe til Alslev (1568–1654). He was a brother-in-law of Ove Gjedde who married his sister Dorothy Knudsdatter Urne (1600-1667). He attended Sorø Academy 1605-09 and studied 6 years in Europe with his brothers. He became secretary of the chancellor of Denmark until he became a treasurer in 1617, which he remained until 1627. In 1627 was granted supervision of Nykøbing and Ålholm and made commissioner-general of the market towns of Lolland and Falster. He served as Steward of Norway from 1629 to 1642. Jørgen Knudsen Urne
Jørgen Knudsen Urne (17 October 1598 – 19 February 1642) was a Danish noble who served as '' Rigsmarsk'' from 1632 to 1642. Biography The son of Knud Axelsen Urne and Margrethe Eilertsdatter Grubbe, Jørgen Knudsen Urne was born on 17 October 1598 at Halsted Abbey which his father held as a fief. When he was nine, he was sent to Herlufsholm boarding school in Næstved and at age 12 he became a Squire first at the court of Queen Anne Catherine and then to King Christian IV. In this capacity, he participated in the Kalmar War and joined the king on his journeys to England in 1614 and Braunschweig in 1615. He became a Junker in 1618 but then went to Bohemia to serve in the war. The Count of Thurn made him a cornet and he participated in the Battle of White Mountain in 1620 before returning home to become a lieutenant in the Royal Danish Army. Renate Urne (born 11 June 1982) is a retired Norwegian international handballer. She played in her native Norway for Erdal IL, IL Bjørnar and Tertnes HE, before moving to German side HC Leipzig HC Leipzig is a women's handball club based in Leipzig, Germany. They play in Handball-Bundesliga Frauen and are often competing in the EHF Women's Champions League, the now defunct EHF Women's Cup Winners' Cup, which merged with the Women's EHF ... in 2007. She stayed in Leipzig until her retirement in 2011. Urne made her debut on the Norwegian national team in 2003, and has played a total of 20 matches and scored 15 goals.
