Urdu Academy is the term used for various state academies, institutes & agencies set up by the respective governments for the promoting, preserving and developing Urdu language and the traditions & culture associated it. India Most of these academies were constituted in 1970s, later in 1996 National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language was constituted as national level nodal agency for these agencies. Jammu And Kashmir Academy Of Art, Culture And Languages
The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (also known as Cultural Academy) is a Society registered with Government as a Cultural organization dedicated to the promotion of regional languages, art and culture including theatre in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The academy was set up by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir by proviso to Section 146 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, in the year 1958. It was declared an autonomous corporate body till 2019 when Jammu and Kashmir state was reorganised as UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh. In 2021, the Govt of Jammu and Kashmir has converted Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages to a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Jamia Millia Islamia () is a central university located in New Delhi, India. Originally established at Aligarh, United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India) during the British Raj in 1920, it moved to its current location in Okhla in 1935. It was given the deemed status by University Grants Commission in 1962. On 26 December 1988, it became a central university. Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a Central University located in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana.
