''Uomini più uomini'' ( Italian for ''Men More Men'') is the eighth studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, released in 1989 by Ricordi International. Background On ''Uomini più uomini'', Amanda worked only with Italian musicians. The album was recorded in Milan and mixed at Heaven Studio in Rimini, Italy. The lyrical content of the album talks mainly about love, and is written completely in Italian, making it Lear's first album to consist exclusively of non-English language material. The singer stated the album was recorded as a mean to appeal to Italian audience she had acquired as a TV presenter in Italy. The song "Una notte insieme a te" played during end credits in her 1989 Italian talk show ''Ars Amanda''. Amanda Lear (; born 1939) is a French singer, songwriter, painter, television presenter, actress, and former model. She began her professional career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s, and went on to model for Paco Rabanne, Ossie Clark, and others. She met Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, and remained his closest friend and muse for the next 15 years. Lear first came into the public eye as the cover model for Roxy Music's album ''For Your Pleasure'' in 1973. From the mid-1970s to the early 1980s, she was a million-album-selling disco queen, mainly in Continental Europe and Scandinavia, signed to Ariola Records. Edoardo Vianello (born 24 June 1938) is an Italian singer, composer and actor. He's considered one of the most popular Italian singers of the Sixties. Career Born in Rome, Vianello started his career in 1956. His first successes came in 1961, with "Il capello" ("The Hair") and "Pinne fucile ed occhiali" ("Fins, rifle, and glasses"), which both charted up to the 2nd position in the Italian Hit Parade. Rate Your Music (often abbreviated to RYM) is an online collaborative database of music releases and films. Users can catalog items from their personal collection, review them, and assign ratings in a five-star rating system. The site also features community-based charts that track highest-rated releases. History Rate Your Music was founded on December 24, 2000, by Seattle resident Hossein Sharifi, who is still active on the site under the username "sharifi". Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist).
