Unleashed (LA Symphony Album)
''Unleashed'' is a mixtape by American hip hop group LA Symphony. It was released on August 14, 2007 via Syntax Records and contains unreleased songs, rarities and demos made from 1999 to 2006 and features verses from all the L.A. Symphony's original members. Hip hop production, Production was handled by CookBook, Flynn Adam, Great Jason, Madlib, Overflo, Pigeon John, Will.i.am and UNO Mas. It features guest appearances from Awol One and Kelvin Mercer, Posdnuos. At the 39th GMA Dove Awards held in 2008, the album was nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year, but lost to Group 1 Crew's ''Group 1 Crew (album), Group 1 Crew''. Guest Appearance
In show business, a guest appearance is the participation of an outsider performer (such as a musician or actor) in an event such as a music record or concert, show, etc., when the performer does not belong to the regular band, cast, or other performing group. Posdnuos
Kelvin Mercer (born August 17, 1969), also known by his stage name Posdnuos and occasionally Pos, is an American rapper and producer from East Massapequa, New York best known for his work as one-third of the hip hop trio De La Soul. Through his work with the group, Mercer is considered to be one of the most consistent and underrated MCs of all time. Beginning with the highly acclaimed ''3 Feet High and Rising'' in 1989, Mercer has gone on to release nine albums with De La Soul. ''Group 1 Crew'' is the first full-length studio album from Group 1 Crew. It was released on February 20, 2007 under Fervent Records, Curb Records, and Word Records. Can't Go On is featured on WOW Hits 2007. Track listing Special Edition DVD A Special edition DVD was packaged with the CD for the first few weeks after its debut. Group 1 Crew
Group 1 Crew was an American Christian hip hop band signed to Fervent Records and Warner Bros. Records. They made their debut with the hit song "Can't Go On" on WOW Hits 2007. Soon after they released their first EP ''I have a dream'' (2006), the band released their self-titled full-length debut studio album, ''Group 1 Crew'', in February 2007. Their song "Love is a Beautiful Thing" charted into the Top 20 in May 2007 on '' R&R'' magazine's Christian chart. The group's second studio album ''Ordinary Dreamers'' was released on September 16, 2008. Their popular radio single "Forgive Me" appeared on Season 5 Episode 2 of ''One Tree Hill,'' which premiered on January 8, 2008. GMA Dove Award
A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. Formerly held in Nashville, Tennessee, the Dove Awards took place in Atlanta, Georgia during 2011 and 2012, but has since moved back to Nashville. The ceremonies feature live musical performances and are broadcast on TBN. Hip hop production is the creation of hip hop music in a recording studio. Christian Hip Hop
Christian hip hop (originally gospel rap, also known as Christian rap, gospel hip hop or holy hip hop) is a subgenre of contemporary Christian music and hip hop music. It emerged from urban contemporary music and Christian media in the United States during the 1980s. Christian hip hop music first emerged on record in 1982 with a track entitled "Jesus Christ (The Gospel Beat)" by Queens, New York artist McSweet.
