University Of Évry Val D'Essonne
The Université d'Évry Val-d'Essonne (''Université d'Évry Val-d'Essonne'' or UEVE) is a French public university located in Évry-Courcouronnes, Île-de-France, and is one of the founding members of Paris-Saclay University. The UEVE is expected to merge with the Paris-Saclay University in 2025. This university founded in 1991 (by Decree), is located in a “ville nouvelle” which is dynamic and constantly evolving. The city of Évry-Courcouronnes is home to many firms (Accor, Carrefour etc.), the largest mall in Île-de-France and a national theatre. Just 25 minutes from Paris by RER, Évry is near the countryside. The Forest of Fontainebleau is only 21 miles (35 kilometres) away. The Réseau Express Régional ( en, Regional Express Network), commonly abbreviated RER (), is a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris and its Île-de-France, suburbs. It acts as a combined city-centre underground rail system and suburbs-to-city-centre commuter rail. In the city centre it acts much like the Paris Métro, though faster, having fewer stops. This has made it a model for proposals to improve transit within other cities. The network consists of five lines: RER A, A, RER B, B, RER C, C, RER D, D and RER E, E. Michel Caboche (25 April 1946 - 15 March 2021) , was a French biologist, director of research at Institut national de la recherche agronomique (INRA), member of the French Academy of Sciences and of the Scientific Council of the Parliamentary Office for the Assessment of Scientific and Technological Choices (OPECST). He was deputy director of the INRA-(INA-PG) Seed Biology Laboratory in Versailles, and headed the INRA- CNRS-University of Evry Joint Unit for Plant Genomics Research from 2002 to 2007. Karine Saporta is a French choreographer, dancer, photographer, and short film director. She is one of the most prominent figures in French dance. Saporta was born in France to a mother of Russian ancestry and a Spanish father. She began dancing at the age of five, studying ballet at first, and attending the National Conservatory.
