University Of Phayao
The University of Phayao (UP) ( th, มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา) is a university in Phayao Province in northern Thailand. Its previous name was Naresuan University, Phayao Campus. The university later split from NU and changed its name to University of Phayao in 2010, registered as the 79th university of Thailand. History On 20th June 1995, a proposal to set up a new university was approved by the cabinet. Later on 8th October 1996, the cabinet had a resolution to call this university Naresuan University, Phayao IT Campus. Classes started in 1995 using the classrooms of Phayaopittayakom School and later moved to the current campus in 1999. In 2007, The name of "Phayao IT Campus" was changed to "Phayao Campus", which in the same year, Associate Professor Dr. Mondhon Sanguansermsri, President of Naresuan University put forward the proposal to promote the campus into an independent university together with a proposal for the Royal Decree for University of ... Education in Thailand is provided mainly by the Thai government through the Ministry of Education from pre-school to senior high school. A free basic education of fifteen years is guaranteed by the Thai constitution. Education in Thailand mandates nine years of "basic education" (six years of elementary school and three years of lower secondary school). Education at public schools is free until grade 9. The government provides, in addition, three years of free pre-school and three years of free upper-secondary education. Neither is mandatory. Children are enrolled in elementary school from the age of six and attend for six years, Prathom 1 to Prathom 6. Lan Na
The Lan Na Kingdom ( nod, , , "Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields"; th, อาณาจักรล้านนา, , ), also known as Lannathai, and most commonly called Lanna or Lanna Kingdom, was an Indianized state centered in present-day Northern Thailand from the 13th to 18th centuries. The cultural development of the Northern Thai people had begun long before as successive kingdoms preceded Lan Na. As a continuation of the kingdom of Ngoenyang, Lan Na emerged strong enough in the 15th century to rival the Ayutthaya Kingdom, with whom wars were fought. However, the Lan Na Kingdom was weakened and became a tributary state of the Taungoo Dynasty in 1558. Lan Na was ruled by successive vassal kings, though some enjoyed autonomy. The Burmese rule gradually withdrew but then resumed as the new Konbaung Dynasty expanded its influence. The School of Medicine, University of Phayao () is a medical school in Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. History In 2007, a school of medical sciences was established at the Naresuan University Phayao IT Campus and initially admitted students for the Physical Therapy, Medical Technology and Public Health branches. Following changes in the structure of the university and in preparation for the creation of the new University of Phayao, the planned medical course would be taught in a separate medical school. Naresuan University
Naresuan University (NU) ( th, มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร, ) is a government university in Phitsanulok Province, northern Thailand. It was established as a separate university on 29 July 1990, the 400th anniversary of the start of the reign of Phitsanulok-born King Naresuan the Great. A courtyard with a statue of King Naresuan is on the campus grounds and students regularly pay their respects before it. The university has about 20,000 full-time students. History On 18 January 1964, the Ministry of Education resolved to create branches of the Bangkok's College of Education in each region of the country.
