Gordon Belcourt
Gordon Belcourt, or Meekskimeeksskumapi, (1945 – July 15, 2013) was an American Blackfeet and Native American tribal executive and social advocate. A member of the Blackfeet Tribe, Belcourt served as the executive director of the Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council for fifteen years, from 1998 until his death in 2013. Belcourt was born in 1945 and raised on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation of Montana. He was also named Meekskimeeksskumapi, which means "Mixed Iron Boy" in the Blackfoot language in honor of the battles that his uncle, Paul Home Gun Jr., had been involved in during the five years of World War II. William James Jameson (August 8, 1898 – October 8, 1990) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Montana. Education and career Born in Butte, Montana, Jameson received an Artium Baccalaureus degree from the University of Montana in 1919 and a Bachelor of Laws from the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana in 1922. He was in private practice in Billings, Montana from 1922 to 1957, and was a member of the Montana House of Representatives from 1927 to 1930.
