University Of Maryland Golf Course
The University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland, is the home of the Maryland Terrapins men's and women's golf teams. The semi-private championship course was designed in 1955 by George Cobb, the course has been a longtime host of state and regional tournaments and hosts over 50,000 rounds of golf annually. The course is located in the northern perimeter of the University of Maryland, College Park's campus, and is home to a 45-station driving range and a putting green. The Maryland Terrapins, commonly referred to as the Terps, consist of 19 men's and women's varsity intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Maryland, College Park in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. Maryland was a founding member of the Southern Conference in 1921, a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1952, and is now a member of the Big Ten Conference.
