The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is a public medical school in Memphis, Tennessee. Christopher Daniel Duntsch (born April 3, 1971) is a former American neurosurgery, neurosurgeon who has been nicknamed Dr. D. and Dr. Death for gross medical malpractice, malpractice resulting in the mutilation, maiming of several patients' spines and two deaths while working at hospitals in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Duntsch was accused of injuring 33 out of 38 patients in less than two years before his license was revoked by the Texas Medical Board.
