Universal Studios Singapore
Universal Studios Singapore (abbreviation: USS) is a theme park located within the Resorts World Sentosa at Sentosa, Singapore. It features 28 Theme park#Rides and attractions, rides, shows, and Theme park#Rides and attractions, attractions in seven themed zones. It is one of the six Universal Parks & Resorts, Universal Studios theme parks around the world. It was a key component of the Genting Singapore's bid for the right to build Singapore's second integrated resort (IR). On 8 December 2006, the Singapore government announced that the consortium had won the bid. Construction of the theme park and the rest of the resort started on 19 April 2007. It is the second Universal Parks & Resorts, Universal Studios theme park in Asia, the other being Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, and the first in Southeast Asia. Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon is a pair of steel roller coaster, steel, dueling roller coasters at Universal Studios Singapore. One of the coasters is an inverted roller coaster track in blue (gray from 2017 onwards), and the other half is a Steel roller coaster, traditional seated roller coaster in red. The coasters, which opened in 2010 and was inactive between 2013 and 2015, reach in height and are the tallest dueling coasters in the world. Universal Studios Singapore is the only Universal Studios amusement park to have a Battlestar Galactica roller coaster. It was the first Vekoma coaster, after the Flying roller coaster, Flying Dutchman, to feature four-abreast seating that is similar to coasters by Bolliger & Mabillard.
