Moldovan Literature
Literature of Moldova comprises the literature of the principality of Moldavia, the later trans-Prut Moldavia, Bessarabia, the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, and the modern Republic of Moldova, irrespective of the language. Although there has been considerable controversy over linguistic identity in Moldova, the Moldovan and Romanian languages are virtually identical and share a common literary history. Moldovan literature, therefore, has considerable overlap with Romanian literature. History The creation of Moldovan written literature was preceded by a rich folklore that emerged in the 10th and 11th centuries CE: calendrical and family ritual poetry (''Plugusorul''), fairy tales, heroic epics (''Hydra'', ''Toma Alimos'', ''The Knight Gruia Grozovan'', ''Mihul Kopilul'', ''Codreanu'', ''Corbea''), historical songs (''Duca Vode'', ''Buzhor'', ''Tobultok''), folk legends, proverbs, popular sayings, lyrical songs, ballads ...

Romanian Literature
Romanian literature () is literature written by Romanian authors, although the term may also be used to refer to all literature written in the Romanian language. History The development of the Romanian literature took place in parallel with that of a rich Romanian folklore - lyric, epic, dramatic and didactic - which continued in modern times. The Romanian oral literature includes doine (lyric songs), ''balade'' (ballads), hore (dance songs), colinde (carols), ''basme'' ( fairy tales), ''snoave'' ( anecdotes), ''vorbe'' (proverbs), and ''ghicitoare'' (riddles). Beginnings The earliest surviving document in Romanian is Neacșu's Letter written in 1521, to the ''jude'' ("judge and mayor") of Brașov, Hans Benkner. Romanian culture was heavily influenced by the Eastern Orthodox Church, the official stance of the Romanian Church being that Orthodoxy was brought to the Romanian land by the Apostle Andrew. According to some modern Romanian scholars, the idea of early Christianisat ...

The Writers' Buildings, often shortened to just Writers, is the official secretariat building of the state government of West Bengal in Kolkata, India. The 150-meter long building covers the entire northern stretch of the iconic Lal Dighi pond at the centre of historic B.B.D. Bagh, long considered as the administrative and business hub of the city. It originally served as the principal administrative office for writers (junior clerks) of the British East India Company (EIC). Designed by Thomas Lyon in 1777, the Writers' Building has gone through a long series of extensions over the centuries. Since India's independence in 1947, it housed the office of the Chief Minister of West Bengal, cabinet ministers and other senior officials, until 4 October 2013, when a major restoration of the building was announced. The majority of government departments were subsequently moved out to a new repurposed building named Nabanna in Howrah on a temporary basis. The building has been called a m ...
