Unity (team)
Unity is a superhero team featuring in titles published by Valiant Entertainment. Taking its name from the classic Valiant crossover Unity, the Unity team first appears in ''Unity #1'' written by Matt Kindt and illustrated by Doug Braithwaite. Unity is a global law enforcement team of super-powered operatives dedicated to protecting humanity from top-secret threats. The team works as agents of the Global Agency for Threat Excision (G.A.T.E.) and acts under the direction of American and British intelligence. Publication history Valiant teased the arrival of a new Unity in August 2013. Unity Executive Editor Warren Simons described the book as being a thematic extension of the original 1992 event in that it unites several of the corners of the Valiant Universe for the first time. Valiant Comics
Valiant Comics is an American comic book publisher. The company was founded in 1989 by former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Jim Shooter along with lawyer and businessman Steven Massarsky. In 1994, the company was sold to Acclaim Entertainment. The company was restarted as part of Valiant Entertainment by entrepreneurs Dinesh Shamdasani and Jason Kothari in 2005 after Acclaim declared bankruptcy in 2004. Valiant Entertainment launched its publishing division in 2012 as part of an initiative dubbed the "Summer of Valiant", winning Publisher of the Year and being nominated for Book of the Year at the Diamond Gem Awards. Trevor Hairsine
Trevor Hairsine is a British comics artist, whose detailed style has been compared to that of Bryan Hitch. In August 2005 Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada named him as one of Marvel Comics's "Young Guns", a group of artists who have the qualities that make "a future superstar penciller". Career Hairsine began his professional career working for the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'', where he co-created the character of Harmony Krieg, and at '' 2000 AD'', as one of the artists of the anthology's flagship series ''Judge Dredd''. He worked on the first three issues of ''Cla$$war'' but problems for the publisher Com.x caused a delay in publication and Hairsine had already got the attention of Marvel Comics and went on to provide the art for Captain America. He has since worked mostly for Marvel since, frequently illustrating scripts by Brian Michael Bendis and fellow-Brit Warren Ellis. A warren is a network of wild rodent or lagomorph, typically rabbit burrows. Domestic warrens are artificial, enclosed establishment of animal husbandry dedicated to the raising of rabbits for meat and fur.
