USA Lacrosse, a Recognized Sport Organization of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, is the governing body of men and women's lacrosse in the United States. It provides a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game and has more than 425,000 members throughout the United States, and offers programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport. The USA Lacrosse national headquarters is located in Sparks, Maryland along with the Lacrosse Museum and National Hall of Fame. In addition, the headquarters campus features the IWLCA Building, Tierney Field and a memorial to the members of the lacrosse community that died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Nick Myers is an American politician who currently serves as the first Vice-Chairman of the Arizona Corporation Commission, first being elected in the 2022 election. Prior to serving in the commission, Myers worked as an embedded software engineer in the semiconductor and communications industries, before starting his own small businesses. World Lacrosse Men's U20 Championship
The World Lacrosse Men's U20 Championship, formerly known as the World Lacrosse Men's U19 Championship, are held every four years to award world championships for the under-20 age group in men's lacrosse. The tournaments are sanctioned by World Lacrosse. History These championships were first held for men in 1988. The 2008 men's championship was held in July 2008 in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada and was won by the United States. The 2012 men's tournament was held in Turku, Finland, with the United States winning the title, defeating Canada 10–8, despite a pair of pool-play losses to Canada and the Iroquois Nationals (now Haudenosaunee Nationals). The Iroquois Nationals finished third after an 18–1 win over England. The 2016 championship for men was held July 7–16, 2016, again in Coquitlam, British Columbia, just outside Vancouver. The 2008 Men's U–19 World Lacrosse Championship (U–19) was held at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam, British Columbia from July 3 to July 12. The event was sponsored by the International Lacrosse Federation. This international field lacrosse tournament is held every four years, and teams are composed of players that are under the age of nineteen. This was the last major event to be sponsored by the ILF. In August 2008, the ILF merged with the former governing body for international women's lacrosse, the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations, to form the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL). The 2022 World Lacrosse Men's U-21 Championship was the ninth edition of the international junior men's field lacrosse tournament for national teams organized by the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) held at University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland from August 10 to August 20. This competition was broadcast worldwide including United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Caribbean, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania.
