United States At The 2013 World Aquatics Championships
The United States competed at the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona, Spain between July 19 and August 4, 2013. Medalists Diving American divers were eligible for two spots in each individual event (1 m, 3 m, and 10 m) and one team spot for each synchronized event (3 m and 10 m). All in all, fifteen divers (seven men and eight women) were selected to represent The United States at this year's world championships. Notable divers featured reigning Olympic champion David Boudia and bronze medal pair Troy Dumais and Kristian Ipsen. ;Men ;Women High diving Five athletes were selected to represent The United States in high diving at this year's world championships. United States Aquatic Sports
United States Aquatic Sports (USAS) is the national federation for aquatic sports which represents the United States in FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation). Since by U.S. law and FINA regulations, the United States must have only one national federation for itself to FINA, United States Aquatic Sports has served as the unifying body for the sports since 1980. Five separate national governing bodies (NGBs) make up USAS: USA Swimming, USA Diving, United States Synchronized Swimming, USA Water Polo, and U.S. Masters Swimming. Of the five, only U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) is not a member of the United States Olympic Committee (USMS's main aim is adult swimming, exclusive of Olympic-swimming which is the domain of USA Swimming). Michael Klueh
Michael Klueh (born March 15, 1987) is an American competition swimmer. He is a four-time medalist (three gold, one silver) at the World Championships. He is also an eight-time medalist (four gold, two silver, two bronze) at the World University Games. Klueh competed for the University of Texas from 2005 to 2009 where he was a 2009 NCAA champion as a member of the 4x200 yard freestyle relay. He is a former American record holder in the 800 short course meter freestyle and former Texas 5A state high school record-holder in the 500-yard freestyle. Charlie Houchin
Charles Houchin (born November 3, 1987) is an American former competition swimmer who has had his greatest international success in freestyle relay events. He earned a gold medal as a member of the winning United States team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is the CEO and founder of Swimmingly. Early years Houchin graduated from William G. Enloe High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Both of his parents were All-American swimmers for North Carolina State University. Houchin attended the University of Michigan, where he swam for the Michigan Wolverines swimming and diving team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 2006 to 2010. Conor Dwyer
Conor James Dwyer (born January 10, 1989) is a former American competition swimmer and Olympic gold medalist. He competed in freestyle and medley events, and won a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. 4×200-meter freestyle relay team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In total, he has won seventeen medals in major international competitions: nine gold, six silver, and two bronze spanning the Summer Olympics, the FINA World Championships, the Pan Pacific Championships, and the Pan American Games. Dwyer placed second at the 2016 US Olympic Swimming Trials in the 400m freestyle. On 11 October 2019 it was announced by the United States Anti-Doping Agency that Dwyer had failed a series of anti-doping tests in late 2018.
