The Committee on Science, Space, and Technology is a standing committee, committee of the United States House of Representatives. It has jurisdiction over non-defense federal scientific research and development. More specifically, the committee has complete jurisdiction over the following federal agencies: NASA, National Science Foundation, NSF, National Institute of Standards and Technology, NIST, and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, OSTP. Eddie Bernice Johnson
Eddie Bernice Johnson (born December 3, 1935) is an American politician who represents Texas's in the United States House of Representatives. Johnson is a member of the Democratic Party. Elected in 1992, Johnson was the first registered nurse elected to Congress. At the swearing-in of the 116th United States Congress, she became dean of Texas's congressional delegation.
