The United Kingdom selected their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 in Oslo, Norway with a new show, ''The Great British Song Contest''. The winning entry was Gina G with " Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit". Before Eurovision The Great British Song Contest 1996 ''The Great British Song Contest 1996'' was the national final developed by the BBC in order to select the British entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1996. ''Eurovision: You Decide'' is the most recent name of a BBC television programme that was broadcast annually to select the United Kingdom's entry into the Eurovision Song Contest. Wayne Anthony Hector is a British songwriter who is best known for his work with pop artists such as Nicki Minaj, One Direction, the Wanted, Toše Proeski and Olly Murs. He co-wrote seven of Westlife's number one singles, including "World of Our Own" and "Flying Without Wings". He is signed to BMG Chrysalis UK. Career Hector began his music career as a member of the new jack swing group Rhythm N Bass. The Acid Queen
"The Acid Queen" is a song written by Pete Townshend and is the ninth song on the Who's rock opera album ''Tommy''. Townshend also sings the lead vocal. The song tells the attempts of Tommy's parents to try to cure him. They leave him with an eccentric gypsy, a self-proclaimed "Acid Queen", who feeds Tommy various hallucinogenic drugs and performs sexually in an attempt to free him from isolation. Several notable singers have performed the song including Merry Clayton, Patti LaBelle, Bette Midler and Tina Turner. Background "The Acid Queen" is often grouped with the album's next track, "Underture", a lengthy instrumental which deals with Tommy's hallucinations and his experience with acid. Nicola Hughes is an English dancer, singer and actress of Antiguan descent. "Father and Son" is a popular song written and performed by English singer-songwriter Cat Stevens (now known as Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens) on his 1970 album ''Tea for the Tillerman''. Television Centre (TVC) is a building complex in White City, London, White City, West London, that was the headquarters of BBC Television between 1960 and 2013.
