''United Crushers'' is the third studio album by Poliça. It was released by Mom + Pop Music on March 4, 2016. It is a follow up to their 2013 album, '' Shulamith''. It was recorded with producer Ryan Olson at the Sonic Ranch studios in El Paso, Texas. The album was named after the Minneapolis based graffiti artists by the same name. Poliça (often stylised in all caps) is an American pop band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2011. The band consists of Channy Leaneagh (vocals, synth), Chris Bierden (bass), Drew Christopherson (drums) and Ben Ivascu (drums), with Ryan Olson joining the band in a studio context as its producer. To date, the band has released six studio albums, ''Give You the Ghost'' (2012), '' Shulamith'' (2013), and ''United Crushers'' (2016) through Mom + Pop Music; ''Music For the Long Emergency'' (2018) through Transgressive; ''When We Stay Alive'' (2020) and ''Madness'' (2022) through Memphis Industries. Sonic Ranch
Sonic Ranch, in the border town of Tornillo, Texas, is the world's largest residential recording studio complex. There are five studios designed by Vincent Van Haaff on a pecan orchard, which borders the Rio Grande and Mexico. Located east of El Paso, Texas, in the border town of Tornillo, there are five houses on the property where artists stay while recording. The studio was founded in 1989 by the current owner/director Tony Rancich around a large traditional Spanish hacienda, which is an adobe structure that was built in the late 1930s, with pine-tree vigas as the ceiling structure.
