United Airports of Georgia LLC ( Georgian language საქართველოს აეროპორტების გაერთიანება) is a state-owned company in Georgia established in 2011, functioning under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. It is the owner on behalf of the Georgian government of the country's civil airports, of which it operates three. The civil airports comprise Tbilisi International Airport and Batumi International Airport, which are both operated by TAV Georgia, and those operated by UAG itself, which are Kutaisi International Airport and two domestic airports, namely, Mestia Airport, also known as Queen Tamar Airport, and (from 2017) Ambrolauri Airport. Georgian (, , ) is the most widely-spoken Kartvelian language, and serves as the literary language or lingua franca for speakers of related languages. It is the official language of Georgia and the native or primary language of 87.6% of its population. Its speakers today number approximately four million. Queen Tamar Airport , or Mestia Airport, is a small domestic airport serving Mestia, a town in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Georgia. Ambrolauri Airport
Ambrolauri Airport is a small regional airport serving Ambrolauri, a town in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Georgia. The airport is owned and operated by United Airports of Georgia, a state-owned company. It has been open in its current form since January 2017, and can serve airplanes up to 50 passengers capacity. General Ambrolauri Airport is located at the edge of Ambrolauri town, in the historic Racha region on the right bank of the Rioni between the Racha and Lechkhumi Ranges and at an elevation of above sea level.
