Unique (Juliette Schoppmann Album)
''Unique'' is the debut studio album by German recording artist Juliette Schoppmann. It was released by BMG-Ariola on February 9, 2004 in German-speaking Europe, following Schoppmann's participation in the first season of ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', where she had finished second the previous year. Production on the album was chiefly handled by Peter Ries, while Stephen Lipson and Pete Martin contributed additional tracks. Songs were penned by Jörgen Elofsson, Toby Gad, Yak Bondy, Sheppard Solomon, Jade Anderson and Greg Wells among others. Initially scheduled for a 2003 release, the album garnered a generally mixed reception from music critics upon its release and peaked at number 15 on the German Albums Chart. With a domestic sales total of 40,000 copies, it widely failed to satisfy the label's commercial expectations, resulting in the termination of Schoppmann's contract with the record company only four months after its release. Juliette Schoppmann
Juliette Schoppmann (born 18 March 1980) is a German singer, songwriter and vocal coach who came to fame as the runner-up of the debut season of the television series ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', the German ''Idol'' series adaptation. Born and raised in Stade, Schoppmann was a trained musical artist before she participated in the show for which she recorded the number-one hit "We Have a Dream" and the album ''United'' along with all other finalists. After ''DSDS'', she signed with BMG and released her moderately successful debut album '' Unique'' (2004) which spawned the top ten hits "Calling You" and " I Still Believe". Following the termination of her contract, Schoppmann returned to musical theatre and worked as a songwriter and vocal coach. Kim Sanders (born October 24, 1968 in East Chicago, Indiana) is an American singer and songwriter based in Germany. "Il faut du temps" (also known under the full title "Il faut du temps (Je me battrai pour ça)"; ; "It takes time (I will fight for that)") was the entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, performed in French by Sandrine François. The song was co-written by French singer Patrick Bruel, and produced by Erick Benzi. The song was also released in English under the title "After the rain". Robert Eria Telson (born May 14, 1949) is an American composer, songwriter, and pianist best known for his work in musical theater and film, for which he has received Tony, Pulitzer, and Academy Award nominations. Biography Robert Eria Telson was born in Cannes, France, in 1949. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, son of Paula (née Blackman) and David Telson. He began studying piano when he was five years old. Peer Åström (born 1972 in Ljusdal, Sweden) is a Swedish composer, lyricist, musician and record producer and partner with Anders Bagge. The two songwriters / producers are known as Bagge & Peer.
