Guðný Halldórsdóttir (born 23 January 1954) is an Icelandic film director and screenwriter. She has directed eight films since 1984, including ''Under the Glacier'' and ''The Honour of the House''. She wrote the screenplay for 1986 comedy ''Stella í orlofi'' (''Stella on Vacation'') and directed its 2002 sequel, ''Stella í framboði'' (''Stella running for Office''). Her 2007 film ''The Quiet Storm (film), The Quiet Storm'' was entered into the 30th Moscow International Film Festival. Her father was writer and 1955 Nobel prize, Nobel Prize winner Halldór Laxness, while her mother was writer and textile designer Auður Laxness. Her son is rapper, actor and comedian Halldór Laxness Halldórsson, better known as Dóri DNA. Tinna Gunnlaugsdóttir (born 18 June 1954) is an Icelandic actress. She has appeared in twelve films since 1981. She starred in '' As in Heaven'', which was screened out of competition at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival. She is the sister of director Hrafn Gunnlaugsson. Her husband is the singer, actor and composer Egill Ólafsson. She was the Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Iceland from 2005 to 2015. Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson (; born 23 April 1958), also known as HÖH, is a musician, an art director, and '' allsherjargoði'' (''chief goði'') of Ásatrúarfélagið ("the Ásatrú Association"). Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson was a pioneer in the use of computers when composing music and cleared the path for new ideas in recording and arrangements. He has worked on ambitious, experimental and original projects with various musicians, such as Psychic TV, Current 93, Sigur Rós, Steindór Andersen and Eivør Pálsdóttir. This is a list of submissions to the 72nd Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non- English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country. Egill Ólafsson (born 9 February 1953) is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and actor. He is married to the actress Tinna Gunnlaugsdóttir. Education Egill Ólafsson studied playing guitar and piano when he was young and was part of a boys' brass band under the direction of Karl Otto Runólfsson.
