"Un mondo d'amore" ('A world of love') is a song composed by Franco Migliacci, and Bruno Zambrini and performed by Gianni Morandi. It was chosen by RAI as the theme song of the program ''Giovani''. The single peaked at first place for five consecutive weeks between May and June 1967 on the Italian hit parade and was among the ten best-selling singles of the year. It is considered a "classic" and a "generational hymn". The song was later covered by several artists, including Thelma Houston (with the title "A World Of Love"), Joan Baez and Fiorello. Gianni Morandi
Gianni Morandi (; born 11 December 1944) is an Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer. Early life Gian Luigi Morandi was born in a little village called Monghidoro on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. His father Renato was active within the Italian Communist Party and Gianni used to help him sell the party newspapers. At an early age Morandi worked as a shoe-shiner, cobbler and as a vendor of sweets in the village's only cinema. His vocal abilities led him to a number of small gigs, some of which were during the Communist Party's activities. Career He made his debut in 1962 and quickly placed high at or won a number of Italian popular song festivals, including the ''Canzonissima'' festival in 1969. In 1962 he was signed by RCA Italiana and achieved national stardom with the song "Fatti mandare dalla mamma", and remained Italy's darling throughout that decade. "C'era un ragazzo che come me amava i Beatles e i Rolling Stones" ('There was a young man who, just like me, loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones') is a song composed by Mauro Lusini and Franco Migliacci, and performed by Gianni Morandi. The song premiered at the third Festival delle Rose, in which Morandi presented the song in couple with the author Lusini. A protest ballad against Vietnam war, it was censored by RAI television and radio for being polemic towards the policies of an allied state. Francesco "Franco" Migliacci (born 28 October 1930 in Mantua) is a lyricist, producer, and actor. Biography He studied in Florence where his family had settled, here he entered in a competition for young players, in which he won a stay of three days to Cinecittà and a modest role in a film by Nino Taranto. After this, he moved to Rome and the world of cinema where he worked in small parts in about 18 films. In 1958, with Domenico Modugno, Migliacci coauthored the song ''Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu'', aka '' Volare'', which has become one of the most well-known Italian songs in the world. Bruno Zambrini (born 5 April 1935) is an Italian composer and record producer. Born in Francavilla al Mare, Chieti, Zambrini graduated in composition at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory. Luis Enríquez Bacalov (30 August 1933 – 15 November 2017) was an Argentine-born film composer. He learned music from Enrique Barenboim, father of Daniel Barenboim the conductor of the Berlin, and Chicago orchestras, and also Berta Sujovolsky. Bringing his talent into society he ventured into music for the cinema, and composed scores for Spaghetti Western films. In the early 1970s, he collaborated with Italian progressive rock bands.
