Ulrika Eleonora Von Düben
Ulrika Eleonora von Düben (18 March 1722 – 23 August 1758), was a Swedish Courtier, favourite of the queen of Sweden, Louisa Ulrika of Prussia. Life Ulrika Eleonora von Düben was born to Baron Joachim von Düben the Elder and Margareta Spegel. She was the paternal niece of the royal favourite Emerentia von Düben, and her family belonged to the circles of the court. In 1748, she was appointed ''hovfröken'' (maid of honour) to crown princess Louisa Ulrika, who became queen three years later. In 1756, she was promoted to the position of ''kammarfröken'', when her predecessor Ulrika Strömfelt, was forced to leave court after her involvement in exposing the Coup of 1756. Normally, queen Louisa Ulrika seldom attached herself to her ladies-in-waiting, but von Düben became her acknowledged favorite and confidant among the ladies-in-waiting. Louisa Ulrika of Prussia ( sv, Lovisa Ulrika; german: Luise Ulrike) (24 July 1720 – 16 July 1782) was Queen of Sweden from 1751 to 1771 as the wife of King Adolf Frederick. She was queen mother during the reign of King Gustav III. Background Louisa Ulrika was born in Berlin as the daughter of Frederick William I of Prussia and his wife Sophia Dorothea of Hanover, and was thus a younger sister of both Wilhelmine of Bayreuth and Frederick the Great. She was given the Swedish name Ulrika because Queen Ulrika Eleonora of Sweden had been her god mother. She exchanged letters with her godmother, and it was thought that she would marry a future son by Ulrika Eleonora, as Ulrika Eleonora herself had once been considered as a consort for Louisa Ulrika's father. Fredrika Eleonora von Düben (December 17, 1738 – March 1, 1808) was a Swedish dilettante painter and embroidery artist Biography Fredrika Eleonora was born to Baron Joachim von Düben the Younger and Catharina Eleonora Temminck, daughter of Hendrik Temminck. Her father was a nephew of royal favourite Emerentia von Düben (1669–1743) and served as the cabinet secretary of Ulrika Eleonora, Queen of Sweden. In 1759, she married Count Nils Adam Bielke (1724-1792), who was previously married to her relative Ulrika Eleonora von Düben (1722–1758). She was maid of honour to Queen Louisa Ulrika of Prussia from 1757 to 1759 and Chief Court mistress of the Swedish queen dowager in 1771–1782. The Düben family () is a Swedish family originally from Saxony, Holy Roman Empire, whose members were elevated to the Swedish nobility, that rose to prominence with Andreas Düben (–1662), an organist to the German Church in Stockholm, Swedish Empire. During the 17th century, the Düben family exerted a significant influence on music at the Royal Court Orchestra, which experienced a golden age during those years. The family collected and composed various works, resulting in a compilation known as the Düben collection. Gustaf Düben, the son of Andreas Düben, was responsible for compiling this collection. Its members use different surnames; the ennobled individuals and their descendants incorporate a nobiliary particle, "von," into their surnames, as seen in "von Düben" (), while the un-ennobled members do not include this particle in their surnames.
