The Basketball Federation of Ukraine ( uk, Федерація баскетболу України) also known as FBU is the governing body of basketball in Ukraine. It was founded and joined FIBA in 1992, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The federation is headquartered in Kyiv. The Basketball Federation of Ukraine operates the Ukraine men's national team and Ukraine women's national team. They organize national competitions in Ukraine, for both the men's and women's senior teams and also the youth national basketball teams. The top professional league in Ukraine is the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague. EuroBasket Women 2013
The 2013 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2013, was the 34th regional championship held by FIBA Europe. The competition was held in France from 15–30 June 2013. This was the fourth time that the EuroBasket Women has been hosted by France. Spain defeated France 70–69 in the final to win the title. After Ukrainian Independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, and joining FIBA in 1992, the national team played their first official match against England on 30 May 1993. Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu (born 16 October 1986), known professionally as Inna (stylized in all caps), is a Romanian singer. Goran Bošković (born 21 January 1972) is a Montenegrin professional basketball coach and former player, who last served as an assistant coach for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. Playing career Bošković started his career in his hometown. He also played for Radnički Beograd, FMP Železnik, Crvena zvezda, and Budućnost. He won the YUBA League championship in 1999 with Budućnost. Bošković played for an Israeli team Maccabi Rishon LeZion during the 2000–01 season. In the French Pro A, Bošković played for SLUC Nancy, Limoges CSP, and Hyères-Toulon between 2001 and 2003. He won the FIBA Korać Cup title in 2002 with Nancy. The 2017 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2017, was the 36th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The tournament was awarded to Czech Republic after winning the bid to Serbia. The tournament also serves as a qualification for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain, with the top five nations qualifying. The 2015 EuroBasket Women, European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2015, was the 35th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe.
