UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena
The UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena (originally the Milwaukee Arena and formerly MECCA Arena and U.S. Cellular Arena) is an indoor arena located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The arena, which seats as many as 12,700 people and offers of floor space, is part of a larger downtown campus, that includes the Milwaukee Theatre and Wisconsin Center. The arena was part of the MECCA Complex from 1974 until the 1995 opening of the Midwest Express Center. History The arena opened in 1950 and was one of the first to accommodate the needs of broadcast television. Brewcity Bruisers
The Brewcity Bruisers is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founded in 2005, the league played their tenth season in 2016. The Bruisers are a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). History and organization Brewcity Bruisers was founded in late 2005 by skaters "Jesse Jameson", "Butch Cassidy" and "Cris Carny Power", and was announced as a new member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association in May 2007. By 2011 the league was drawing over 3500 people to an event at U.S. Cellular Arena. The Brewcity Bruisers home league is composed of four home teams, the Crazy 8s, the Maiden Milwaukee, the Shevil Knevils, and the Rushin' Rollettes. Marquette University () is a Private university, private Society of Jesus, Jesuit research university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The National Basketball Association All-Star Game is a basketball exhibition game hosted every February by the National Basketball Association (NBA) and showcases 24 of the league's star players. It is the featured event of NBA All-Star Weekend, a three-day event which goes from Friday to Sunday. The All-Star Game was first played at the Boston Garden on March 2, 1951. The starting lineup for each squad is selected by a combination of fan, player, and media voting, while head coaches choose the reserves, seven players from their respective conferences, so each side has a 12-man roster. Robert Indiana
Robert Indiana (born Robert Clark; September 13, 1928 – May 19, 2018) was an American artist associated with the pop art movement. His iconic image LOVE was first created in 1964 in the form of a card which he sent to several friends and acquaintances in the art world. In 1965, Robert Indiana was invited to propose an artwork to be featured on the Museum of Modern Art's annual Christmas card. Indiana submitted several 12” square oil on canvas variations based on his LOVE image. The museum selected the most intense color combination in red, blue, and green. It became one of the most popular cards the museum has ever offered. Miller High Life Theatre
Miller High Life Theatre (previously Milwaukee Theatre and originally Milwaukee Auditorium) is a theatre located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The building was extensively renovated between 2001 and 2003, at which point its name changed to the Milwaukee Theatre. A naming rights deal changed its name in 2017 to the Miller High Life Theatre. It seats 4,086 people and can be configured into a more intimate venue that seats 2,500. It is located at 500 W. Kilbourn Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. The Extreme Football League (X League) is an American women's semi-professional tackle football league. The Green Bay Chill was a women's American football team in the Legends Football League (formerly Lingerie Football League) that played from 2011 to 2014. The Chill played in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at the Resch Center from 2011 to 2013. In 2014, the team moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with home games at U.S. Cellular Arena. Their first game in the 2014 season was set to take place in the U.S. Cellular Arena but it was rescheduled to July 12 citing lack of ticket sales.
