U.S. Route 67 Business (Presidio, Texas)
Numerous special routes of U.S. Route 67, all business routes, exist. One other route, formerly an alternate route in western Illinois, has since been downgraded to state Route 267. Texas All of the business routes within Texas are maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). U.S. Route 67 has seven current and two former business routes within the state, with two of these located in San Angelo. Along US 67, TxDOT identifies each business route as Business U.S. Highway 67 followed by an alphabetic suffix. Along Texas U.S. routes, the alphabetic suffixes on business route names ascend generally eastward and southward. As US 67 is labeled as a west-to-east route, its initial business loop in Presidio is suffixed with an A. Dublin, Texas
Dublin is a city located in southwestern Erath County in Central Texas, United States. Its population was 3,654 at the 2010 census, down from 3,754 at the 2000 census. The town is the former home of the world's oldest Dr Pepper bottling plant (see Dublin Dr Pepper). The plant was for many years the only U.S. source for Dr Pepper made with real cane sugar (from Texas-based Imperial Sugar), instead of less expensive high-fructose corn syrup. Contractual requirements limited the plant's distribution range to a radius of Dublin, an area encompassing Stephenville, Tolar, Comanche, and Hico. Dublin was the southern terminus of the Wichita Falls and Southern Railroad, one of the properties of Frank Kell, Joseph A. Kemp, and later Orville Bullington of Wichita Falls. Alvarado ( ) is the oldest city in Johnson County, Texas. The population was 3,785 as of the 2010 census, up from 3,288 at the 2000 census. Texas State Highway 174
State Highway 174 (SH 174) is a state highway in Texas that connects Meridian and Burleson. Route description SH 174 begins in Bosque County at an intersection with SH 22 in Meridian. The route travels northward out of the city and through Morgan. It briefly enters Hill County, passing to the north of Lake Whitney and the town of Blum, before crossing into Johnson County. Heading north into Cleburne, SH 174 has agreement with SH 171 and FM 4 through the city's downtown, where the routes cross Bus. US 67. State Highway 171 (SH 171) is a southeast–northwest state highway in northeastern Texas, United States, that connects U.S. Highway 84 (US 84) in Mexia with U.S. Highway 180 (US 180) in Weatherford. Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 179,927. Its county seat is Cleburne. Johnson County is named for Middleton Johnson, a Texas Ranger, soldier, and politician. Johnson County is included in the Dallas– Fort Worth– Arlington metropolitan statistical area. History The first settler of Johnson County was Henry Briden, who built a log cabin on the Nolan River in 1849.
