U.S. Route 25W In Tennessee
U.S. Route 25W (US 25W) is the western branch of U.S. Route 25 from Newport, Tennessee, where US 25 splits into US 25E and US 25W, to North Corbin, Kentucky, where the two highways rejoin. US 25W has been included in the U.S. Highway System since the system's inception in 1926. Route description Tennessee US 25W carries the unsigned designation of State Route 9 (SR 9) throughout the state. US 25 splits into US 25W and US 25E on the west side of downtown Newport. Here, SR 32 goes north on US 25E and US 70/SR 9/ SR 35 continue on US 25W. The concurrency then has a full interchange with I-40 (Exit 432 A/B) before US 411/SR 35 separate and turn south. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is Kentucky's state-funded agency charged with building and maintaining federal highways and Kentucky state highways, as well as regulating other transportation related issues. The Transportation Cabinet is led by the Kentucky Secretary of Transportation, who is appointed by the governor of Kentucky. The current Secretary is Jim Gray, who was appointed by Democratic Governor Andy Beshear. As of October 2012, KYTC maintains of roadways in the state. Whitley County is a county located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 36,712. Its county seat is at Williamsburg, though the largest city is Corbin, and the county's District Court (a trial court of limited jurisdiction) sits in both cities. State Route 92 (SR 92) is a state highway in East Tennessee with both four lane and two lane sections. Route description SR 92 begins at US 411/ SR 35 in Chestnut Hill. It heads north toward Dandridge and crosses over the French Broad River/Douglas Lake just inside Dandridge city limits, just after crossing the river/lake it junctions with SR 139 in downtown. It the junctions with US 25W, US 70 and SR 66 in downtown Dandridge. Dandridge is a town in and the county seat of Jefferson County, Tennessee, United States. It had a population of 3,344 at the 2020 census. Douglas Lake, also called Douglas Reservoir, is a reservoir created by an impoundment of the French Broad River in Eastern Tennessee. This lake is located only a few miles from the Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg area, and also the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
