U-Sector
U-Sector is an independent supporters' group for Major League Soccer's Toronto FC. History and Name The U-Sector was founded in 2000 by soccer fans in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area, as a supporters group for the Toronto Lynx. Originally known as the "Toronto Ultras," the name "U-Sector" came from the group's traditional location in Section 'U' at the old Varsity Stadium. After leaving Varsity Stadium for Centennial Park Stadium, the nickname was kept as a secondary name for the group. In the 2004 off-season, due to the widespread use of the ultras name in world football, and some of the stigma which came with it, the group adopted "U-Sector" as its official name. Since the founding of Toronto FC in 2006, the group has expanded its primary support to the MLS side. Members are mostly located in BMO Field's section 113. James Gerald "Jim" Brennan (born 8 May 1977) is a UEFA Pro License-holder Canadian soccer manager, analyst and former player. During his playing career he played as a defender in Canada and England, most notably with Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, Southampton F.C. Norwich City (where he won the 2003–04 Football League First Division) and Toronto FC. Daniele Salvatore Ernest Dichio (born 19 October 1974) is an English retired professional footballer and coach. Dichio scored the first goal in Toronto FC history against the Chicago Fire on 12 May 2007. Later in that same game he became the first player in club history to be red-carded. Scott Vallow (born June 8, 1977 in Modesto, California) is a retired American soccer goalkeeper, most famously for playing with the Rochester Rhinos, 2005-2010. Scott was the assistant coach of the North Carolina Courage soccer team, having followed head coach Paul Riley from the Portland Thorns FC to Western New York Flash and the Courage.
