A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The municipalities in Estonia cover the entire territory of the country. Sooru
Sooru is a village in Valga Parish, Valga County in southern Estonia. It's located about 10 km northeast of the town of Valga, Estonia, Valga. Sooru has a population of 295 (as of 2011) and an area of 14.62 km². Sooru borders the Väike Emajõgi River on its northeastern side. Sooru Manor was first mentioned in 1388 as ''Sore'' (also known as ''Soorhof'', ''Soor'' and ''Sora''). Until its dispossession in 1920–1922 the manor had many owners. Paju, Valga County
Paju is a village in Valga Parish, Valga County in southern Estonia. It's located about 6 km northeast of the town of Valga. Paju has a population of 80 (as of 2011) and an area of 9.341 km². Paju Manor (german: Luhde-Großhof) was established in 1748 by detaching it from the Lugaži Manor (''Luhde'', nowadays in Latvia). From the 1850s to the dispossession in 1919 it belonged to the Stryks. The late-classicist two-storey main building was competed around 1860. Since 1960, a nursing home is operating in the manor. Paju is best known for Battle of Paju, one of the heaviest battles of the Estonian War of Independence. It took place on 31 January 1919 around the manor. Laatre is a small borough (') in Valga County in southern Estonia, located about 16 km northeast of the town of Estonia. Between 1992 and 2017, until the 2017 administrative reform of Estonian local governments, Laatre was the administrative center of Tõlliste Parish. It is now part of Valga Parish.
