Tyrell Vernon
Tyrell Vernon (born September 8, 1988) is a Canadian professional basketball player who last played for the Mississauga Power of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL). He played at the collegiate level with McMaster University and then St. Francis Xavier University and was one of the top passers and shooters in the Atlantic University Sport association while with the latter team. Vernon primarily plays the point guard position and stands 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m). Elvin Mims
Elvin Mims (born December 23, 1979) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the London Lightning of the NBL Canada. He has previously played in multiple leagues in the United States and in Iceland as well as Canada. Prior to going pro, from 1998 to 2002, Mims played college basketball for Northwest Florida State College and Southern Mississippi University. College career Mims started played college basketball for Northwest Florida State College in 1998, moving to Southern Mississippi University in 2000 and remaining there for two seasons. 2014–15 NBL Canada Season
The 2014–15 NBL Canada season was the fourth season of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada). The NBL Canada contracted to 8 teams for 2014–15 after the ownership of the Ottawa SkyHawks were revoked by the league following the 2013–14 season. Offseason During preseason, the NBL Canada's Board of Governors voted to revoke the ownership rights of Bytown Sports & Entertainment Inc., who operated the Ottawa SkyHawks. The league is working to find a new ownership group to bring the NBL Canada back to Ottawa, as soon as next season.
