Tyler Randell (rugby League)
Tyler Randell (born 31 August 1992) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a . He previously played for the Newcastle Knights in the NRL and for Wakefield Trinity in the Super League. Background Randell was born in Scone, New South Wales, Australia. He played his junior football for the Scone Thoroughbreds before switching to the Aberdeen Tigers, before being signed by the Newcastle Knights. In 2012, Randell changed his surname from Sullivan to Randell. Playing career Early career From 2009 to 2012, Randell played for the Newcastle Knights' NYC team. In May 2012, he re-signed with the Knights on a 3-year contract. In 2013, he moved on to the Knights' New South Wales Cup team. 2014 In 2014, he played for the New South Wales Residents team against the Queensland Residents. Scone, New South Wales
Scone is a town in the Upper Hunter Shire in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Scone had a population of 5,624 people. It is on the New England Highway north of Muswellbrook about 270 kilometres north of Sydney, and is part of the New England (federal) and Upper Hunter (state) electorates. Scone is in a farming area and is also noted for breeding Thoroughbred racehorses. It is known as the 'Horse capital of Australia'. History Allan Cunningham was the first recorded European person to travel into the Scone area, reaching the Upper Dartbrook and Murrurundi areas in 1823. Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium (formerly Cumberland Oval). As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium. It took thirty years for the club to make the grand final, which they did in 1976 and 1977, losing on both occasions. 2016 NRL Auckland Nines
The 2016 NRL Auckland Nines (known as the Downer NRL Auckland Nines due to sponsorship) was the third NRL Auckland Nines competition. It was held on 6–7 February 2016 at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand. As with previous tournaments, it was contested by all sixteen National Rugby League teams. The prize money was . The draw was released on 18 November 2015. The same pool names were used as the 2015 tournament's. The pool names were: Hunua, Waiheke, Rangitoto and Piha. The event included two international women's teams, the Kiwiferns and the Jillaroos, who competed in a three-game series. Originally to be sponsored by Dick Smith, the tournament was instead sponsored by Downer Group after Dick Smith went into receivership.
